Structure:

  • Affirmative:
    Subject + am/is/are + verb + -ing

    • I am studying English.

    • She is reading a book.

    • They are playing soccer.

  • Negative:
    Subject + am/is/are + not + verb + -ing

    • I am not watching TV.

    • He is not eating.

    • We are not running.

  • Questions:
    Am/Is/Are + subject + verb + -ing?

    • Are you doing your homework?

    • Is she listening to music?

    • Am I speaking too fast?

Examples:
  • I am writing a webpage.

  • He is walking to school.

  • We are learning English.

  • They are not sleeping now.

  • Is it raining?
